10 Things Your Grandmother Can Teach You About Social Media.

 

Social Media is still a relatively new concept for many of us. The fact is, people are still figuring out what is ok to post on Facebook, Twitter etc. and what is better left off. Some people (unfortunately) never think about it at all and simply let it all hang out, so to speak. As in most areas of life, the simple act of using good manners can make a huge difference in how we are perceived. And this definitely goes for Social Media too.

Volunteer Week

April 10-16, 2011 was National Volunteer Week.  But, like most of these national weeks of recognition, it doesn't mean it's time to stop thinking about volunteering!  Giving back should not be limited to just one week per year.

Community Hotline,  a weekly MetroEast staff production featuring local area non-profits, is pleased to welcome NW Veg to our show on Wednesday, January 12th. NW Veg has been very involved in the nationwide premiere of  Forks Over Knives, a documentary that explores the work of key researchers and doctors into the links between what we eat and the degenerative debilitating diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, strokes, and certain cancers. They have two events scheduled that follow up on the movie: a January 16 potluck and presentation by Dr.
