"Strandbeests" And Why Community Media Matters

When I clicked through to this video for the first time, I was unprepared for the sheer awe that would be inspired as the documentary progressed.  This 3-minute clip is captivating and brings to light a good reason why community members need to be trained up on video documentary skills.  

Theo Jansen obviously caught the attention of the BBC, but there are "Theo Jansens" in all of our communities that have not caught the eye of mass media and although they are doing really interesting and sometimes highly relevant work, nobody knows about them.
