Micro Mobile Music Monday Madness!

As you may already have noticed, we have been experimenting with innovative new ways to train volunteers, involve the community, and build our existing community at MetroEast.  One of our exciting new programs this summer was Mission: Micro Mobile.

We've noticed that our community is, understandably, intimidated by the micro mobile.  Who could blame you?  There are so many cables, so many boxes, so many things that could go wrong... Plus it's not easy to be an expert at every position.  That's why we deicde to construct teams of existing community producers who are interested in on-location multi-camera production.

This summer we worked with 16 of our volunteer community producers who were each individually excited about this style of production. Many even had their own program ideas already but had been too scared to take the leap alone.  These producers were divided into two teams and each team was responsible for the production of 3 live "Music Monday" musical performances at the Gresham Center For The Arts Plaza.

Staff and students alike had a blast over the past month, and their last hurrah wrap show is tonight at 6:30 with musical guest Violet Isle!
